What we will and will not do with your travel life.

Travel data is unusually revealing — where you go, when your home is empty, what medication you take. We treat it accordingly.

We don't sell your travel data.

Not aggregated, not anonymised, not to partners. There is no version of this that we do.

We don't advertise to you.

Tereniva offers one free trip, a recurring annual plan, and a one-time Founding Lifetime plan — not an advertising business model.

Your travel history belongs to you.

Export everything as a plain file, any time, without asking.

Delete everything with one click.

One button on your profile removes every trip, preference and answer immediately.

No tracking while you travel.

We never collect location in the background. Destination details come from what you type.

Only what's needed.

We don't ask for a phone number, address, birthday or contacts. None of it improves your packing list.

Where your data lives today

Without an account, your profile, trips, bags and preferences stay on this device only — nothing about your travel is uploaded. If you create an account, those same records are also saved to your private account storage so they follow you to another device, and your purchase can be restored. Accessibility and health answers are the exception: they stay on this device unless you turn on syncing for them yourself, and turning it back off removes the copy we hold.

Who we are. Tereniva is the business name of Allison F. Clarke, a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada. Our website is tereniva.com. For the personal data described here we act as the data controller. Contact: support@tereniva.com.

What we collect, and why.

  • Account data — your email address and login credentials, so we can create your account and restore your purchase. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Purchase records — the payment reference, the item bought, the date and the status, so we know what you are entitled to and can meet tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive product updates and travel-prep news by email. We only send these if you tick the box; you can change your mind any time from your account page. Legal basis: your consent.
  • Support messages — anything you send us, so we can help. Legal basis: legitimate interests in supporting our customers.
  • Security and technical data — IP address and basic request details, retained briefly to prevent fraud and abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests in keeping the service secure.
  • Travel data — your profile, trips, bags and learnings. These stay on your device when you use Tereniva without an account. With an account they are also stored privately against your account so they follow you between devices. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

Who we share it with.

  • Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds. Paddle collects your payment details directly; we never see them.
  • Lovable, which hosts and deploys the application on our behalf, served from Cloudflare's global edge network.
  • Supabase, which provides the database, authentication and account storage behind your account. Your trips, bags and preferences are stored there when you are signed in.
  • Weather and place-lookup providers — Open-Meteo (geocoding and forecasts) and NASA POWER (historical climate normals). They receive the destination you type and its coordinates and dates. They are not told who you are: no name, email or account identifier is sent.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

International transfers. Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it. Account data is kept while your account exists and is deleted when you delete it. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted or anonymised. Operational and security logs contain no traveller content — only technical event records — and are retained by our hosting and database providers under their own standard retention schedules; we do not keep a separate copy of them.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account yourself from your account page. Email us and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority — in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Security. Data in transit is encrypted, access is restricted to those who need it, and our database enforces per-account access rules so no one can read another person's records.

Cookies. We use essential storage only — the browser storage that keeps you signed in and holds your on-device travel data. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Paddle sets its own cookies during checkout, described in their privacy notice.

The honest disclaimer

  • Packing suggestions are suggestions. You remain responsible for airline, customs and visa compliance.
  • Health-related items are organisational reminders only, never medical advice.
  • We never assert that a destination, hotel or venue is accessible. We help you prepare and prompt you to verify — that judgement stays with you.
  • Weather is a live forecast when your dates are close enough, and typical conditions from historical averages when they are not. Every trip says which one you are looking at. Neither is a guarantee.
